Privacy Policy

Overview

BiotechX is an educational study app for biotechnology learning and practice. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how that information is used, and what choices are available to users.

Information BiotechX Handles

BiotechX is designed to work without account creation. The app currently stores limited information on the device to support core functionality, including learning progress, exercise completion state, premium access state and restore-related local cache, and app preferences needed for normal behavior.

Purchases

BiotechX offers an optional one-time non-consumable in-app purchase for premium access. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. BiotechX does not receive full payment card details.

Analytics and Tracking

At the time of this policy, BiotechX does not use third-party advertising SDKs inside the app and does not use in-app tracking for targeted advertising. BiotechX does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

Sensitive Permissions

BiotechX does not currently require access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, health data, or similar sensitive device permissions. If a future version changes data practices or requests new permissions, this policy should be updated before release.

How Information Is Used

The limited information handled by the app is used to display learning progress, preserve exercise completion and study continuity, manage premium access state, support app stability and normal functionality, and respond to support, privacy, accessibility, or billing inquiries sent directly to the publisher.

Data Sharing and Retention

BiotechX does not sell personal information. BiotechX does not share user study progress with third-party advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Most app study data is stored locally on the device. Locally stored data generally remains on the device until the app is deleted, the device is reset, or the local app data is otherwise cleared.

California Privacy Rights

BiotechX is published from California. If you are a California resident and have a privacy question or want to request access, correction, deletion, or additional details about personal information you directly provided to the publisher, contact JT Scientific at jtscientific2016@gmail.com.

Some California privacy rights apply only when a business meets specific statutory thresholds or processes certain categories of information. Requests will be handled based on the information actually maintained by the publisher.

Children and International Use

BiotechX is an educational app and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children through account registration or social features. If a parent or guardian believes personal information was directly provided to the publisher by a child, they may contact the publisher to request review.

If BiotechX is used outside the United States, users acknowledge that support emails or related communications may be processed in the United States or where the publisher operates.
