This Privacy Policy describes how ChemAPex ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use the ChemAPex mobile application (the "App").

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the ChemAPex iOS app and related support communications.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

• We do not require account creation to use the App.
• If you contact support, we may receive information you choose to provide (for example name, email address, and message content).

2.2 Information processed on your device

• Learning progress data (for example completed exercises and in-app progress) is stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage.
• In normal use, this local learning data is not transmitted to us.

2.3 Purchases

• If paid features are enabled in the future, purchases are processed by Apple using your App Store account.
• We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
• Apple may provide limited transaction information to us (for example product identifier, transaction status, and country/storefront) for purchase validation and support.

2.4 Analytics and advertising

• As of the effective date above, the App does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not use third-party analytics SDKs.

3. How We Use Information

• Operate and maintain the App.
• Provide customer support when you contact us.
• Improve content quality, stability, accessibility, and performance.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information only to service providers helping us operate support systems, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data Retention

• Local learning progress remains on your device until you delete the App or remove app data.
• Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, and legal compliance.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or restrict processing of personal information.

If you use the App outside the United States, your information may be processed in jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ChemAPex ("we", "our", "us") for use of the ChemAPex mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Acceptance

You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, use must be supervised or authorized by a parent or legal guardian.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by law.
• You may not copy, redistribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App content.
• You may not use the App in a way that interferes with service integrity or security.

3. Educational Use and No Guarantee

• ChemAPex is an educational study tool.
• It is not an official College Board product.
• It does not guarantee exam outcomes, admissions outcomes, or grade improvements.

4. Premium Features and Payments

If premium features are offered, purchases are processed through Apple App Store billing. Pricing, features, and availability may change.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, design, and software, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws.

AP and Advanced Placement are trademarks of the College Board and are used for descriptive educational reference only.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on Apple platform services. Your use of Apple services is subject to Apple's terms and policies.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law, without implied warranties.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if required by law, security, operational necessity, or breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to the App or Terms

We may modify features, content, or these Terms. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
