Download on the App StoreWhat PearlHope Does
Everything you need to find the right trial
PearlHope connects lung cancer patients with clinical trials that match their exact diagnosis — and keeps all of your health information completely private on your phone.
Your Privacy is Absolute
Your cancer type, biomarkers, and location are stored only on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage. They are never uploaded to any server — not even ours.
Matched to Your Biomarkers
Set your EGFR, ALK, KRAS G12C, and ROS1 mutation status along with your PD-L1 expression level. PearlHope filters trials to those that explicitly accept your profile.
Find Trials Near You
Enter your ZIP code and choose a search radius (1–500 miles). PearlHope shows only trials with at least one site within your chosen distance — filterable right on your phone.
Full Trial Details
See eligibility requirements in plain language — prior drug history, brain metastasis status, age, ECOG performance, and more. Plus a direct link to the full protocol on ClinicalTrials.gov.
Interactive Trial Map
An interactive map shows every site for each trial. When you've set a ZIP code, the map centers on your location and shows all nearby sites with a single glance.
Built-In Medical Glossary
Not sure what ECOG Performance Status or PD-L1 means? A built-in glossary explains 10 clinical terms in plain language — so you're always prepared for your next oncology appointment.
How It Works
Set up once. Matched instantly.
PearlHope's 7-step setup wizard takes about 2 minutes. After that, your personalized trial list is always a tap away — and always up to date.
Accept the Disclaimer
Read and acknowledge the medical disclaimer and privacy notice. PearlHope is transparent about what it can — and cannot — do.
Set Your Profile
Choose your cancer type (NSCLC or SCLC), biomarker mutations (EGFR, ALK, KRAS G12C, ROS1), and PD-L1 expression level.
Choose Your Location
Search nationwide or enter your ZIP code and drag a radius slider (1–500 miles) to limit results to nearby trial sites.
Explore Matched Trials
Browse trials matched to your profile. Tap any trial to see full eligibility details, biomarker requirements, and an interactive site map.
Privacy First
Your health data never leaves your phone
PearlHope was built from the ground up on a single principle: your health information belongs to you, and only you.
Never Uploaded
Your cancer type, biomarkers, PD-L1, and ZIP code are stored only on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage. No servers. No cloud sync. Ever.
No Account Required
No email. No login. No password. PearlHope has no user accounts and collects no personal information — not even an anonymous identifier.
Delete Any Time
Tap "Delete Profile" in the app to permanently erase all your data instantly. Uninstalling the app also deletes everything — because there's no server copy.
One Read-Only Download
The only network request PearlHope makes is downloading the public trial database once per launch — with no user data attached whatsoever.

Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 21, 2026 · Last Updated: February 21, 2026
1. Overview
PearlHope ("the App," "we," "our") is a lung cancer clinical trial discovery tool designed and operated as a fully private, device-local application. This Privacy Policy explains what information PearlHope collects, how it is used, and — most importantly — what it does not collect or transmit.
Summary: PearlHope does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information about you. All health-related profile data you enter stays entirely on your device.
2. Information You Enter (Stays On Your Device)
During the profile setup wizard, you may enter the following health-related preferences:
| Data | Purpose | Stored Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cancer histology (NSCLC, SCLC, or Any) | Filter clinical trials by cancer type | Your device only (Apple UserDefaults) |
| Biomarker status (EGFR, ALK, KRAS G12C, ROS1) | Filter trials by genetic mutation | Your device only (Apple UserDefaults) |
| PD-L1 expression level | Filter trials by immunotherapy marker | Your device only (Apple UserDefaults) |
| ZIP code (optional) | Calculate distance to trial sites | Your device only — never transmitted |
| Approximate location (lat/lng) | Derived from ZIP via bundled offline ZIP dataset (SimpleMaps US ZIP Codes) | Your device only — never transmitted |
None of this information ever leaves your device. It is never uploaded to any server, included in analytics, or shared with any third party — including the developers of this app.
3. Clinical Trial Data We Fetch
The App downloads a list of clinical trials once per launch from our AWS S3 bucket. This request is a standard HTTPS GET request. It contains no user identifiers of any kind, no health or profile information, and is identical for every user of the app. The downloaded trial data is stored in an on-device database (Apple SwiftData) and is used solely to populate the trial list you see in the app.
4. What We Do NOT Collect
PearlHope does not collect, process, or retain: your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information; your Apple ID or any account identifiers; your device's unique identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, serial number); health records, medical history, or clinical data; usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry; cookies, tracking pixels, or any cross-app tracking; or biometric data of any kind.
5. No User Accounts
PearlHope requires no account creation and offers no login. There is no server-side record associated with your use of the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all profile data.
6. Apple Platform Services
PearlHope uses Apple-provided system frameworks. Apple's own Privacy Policy governs their data practices. Frameworks used include: Apple UserDefaults / SwiftData (on-device storage only; no iCloud sync); MapKit (map display; no user profile data in map requests); and URLSession (single trial data download only). ZIP-to-coordinate resolution uses a bundled offline dataset from SimpleMaps US ZIP Codes (request URL: https://simplemaps.com/data/us-zips).
7. Children's Privacy
PearlHope is intended for adults navigating cancer treatment decisions. The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Your profile is retained on your device until you tap Delete Profile in the Profile tab, or uninstall the App. There is no server-side data to delete because no data is ever transmitted to us.
9. Security
All sensitive data remains on your device, protected by iOS device-level encryption (requires your device passcode / Face ID / Touch ID). It is not accessible to other apps or to us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

3.2 Not Medical Advice. Nothing in the App constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All content is provided for general informational purposes only.
3.3 No Eligibility Determination. A match shown in the App means only that a trial's recorded criteria overlap with your selected profile. It does not mean you are eligible for that trial. Only a qualified physician or clinical trial coordinator can make that determination.
3.4 Incomplete Information. Trial data shown in the App may be incomplete, out of date, or may not reflect the full published protocol. Always verify trial details directly on ClinicalTrials.gov.
3.5 Consult Your Healthcare Provider. Always discuss clinical trial options with your oncologist or treating physician before making any medical decisions.
4. Accuracy and Data Sources
Trial data is sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov (operated by the U.S. National Library of Medicine) and refreshed regularly. We make reasonable efforts to keep this data current and accurate, but we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Trial availability, eligibility criteria, and recruiting status may change at any time.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, branding, and all original content are the intellectual property of the PearlHope development team. Clinical trial data originates from ClinicalTrials.gov and is in the public domain. Use of the App does not create any relationship — professional, medical, or otherwise — between you and the developers of PearlHope, any clinical trial sponsor, any hospital or clinic, or any pharmaceutical or biotech company.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. All health-related profile data you enter stays entirely on your device. No personal or health information is transmitted to us or any third party.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code; distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any of its content; misrepresent the App's outputs as a medical determination of eligibility; or use the App as a substitute for professional medical care.
9. Disclaimers of Warranties
10. Limitation of Liability
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the PearlHope development team from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms.
12. Third-Party Links
The App contains links to ClinicalTrials.gov and may reference external resources. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the content or practices of any third-party websites.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction.

Medical Disclaimer
Effective Date: February 21, 2026
PearlHope is an informational app that helps lung cancer patients discover clinical trials. Before using the App, please read and understand the following.
1. Not a Medical Device
PearlHope is not a medical device. It has not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or any other regulatory authority. The App is a consumer informational tool only.
2. Not Medical Advice
Nothing in PearlHope — including trial match results, biomarker filter outputs, eligibility summaries, stage or cancer type classifications, or any text, label, or number displayed — constitutes medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. All content is for general informational purposes only.
3. Not an Eligibility Determination
A trial appearing in your results means only that the trial's recorded data overlaps with your selected profile preferences. It does not mean you are eligible for that trial, you will be accepted into that trial, or that the trial is appropriate for your individual circumstances.
Only a qualified physician, oncologist, or clinical trial coordinator can determine whether you are eligible for any specific trial. Eligibility determinations involve your complete medical history, physical examination, laboratory values, imaging, performance status, and many other factors that this App cannot assess.
4. Incomplete and Potentially Outdated Information
Clinical trial data shown in the App is sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov (U.S. National Library of Medicine), updated regularly but may lag behind official protocol amendments, may be incomplete — not all eligibility criteria for any given trial may be shown — and may not reflect a trial's current recruiting status. Always verify any trial directly at ClinicalTrials.gov before drawing any conclusions.
5. No Substitution for Professional Medical Care
PearlHope is intended to help patients have more informed conversations with their healthcare team. It is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified oncologist or physician, review of your personal medical records, formal clinical trial screening, or treatment decision-making with your care team. Do not make any medical decision based solely on information from this App.
6. No Patient-Provider Relationship
Using PearlHope does not create a patient-provider relationship between you and the developers of PearlHope, any clinical trial sponsor or investigator, any hospital, clinic, or medical institution, or any pharmaceutical or biotech company.
7. Emergency Situations
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. PearlHope is not designed to be used in emergency situations.
8. Regulatory Status
PearlHope is classified as a general wellness / informational application and is not subject to medical device regulations in the jurisdictions where it is offered.
9. Acknowledgement
By using PearlHope, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Medical Disclaimer in its entirety.
