- The App does not contain a complete list of every clinical trial available worldwide.
- We do not guarantee that trial information is current, accurate, or complete.
- Clinical trial status changes frequently and may not be immediately reflected in the App.
- You should verify all information directly with the investigation site or your healthcare provider.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall we be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the App, even if we have been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

We operate on a Local-First basis. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for any loss of data caused by lost devices, app deletion, or corruption of local storage.

We do not collect, store, share, or sell your personal health data. PinkHope is built on a Local-First architecture. All your personal information (diagnosis details, age, location) is stored only on your physical device. The matching algorithm runs locally on your phone, not on our servers. We do not have user accounts, logins, or cloud databases for user profiles.
2. Information We Analyze (Locally)
To match you with relevant clinical trials, the app processes the following data on your device only:
- Diagnosis Details: Type of breast cancer (e.g., Hormone Receptor status, HER2 status)
- Stage: Current stage of cancer (e.g., Early, Metastatic)
- Location: Your approximate location (City/ZIP) to calculate distance to trial sites
- Biomarkers: Specific medical markers (ER, PR, HER2)
This data never leaves your device. It is used solely for filtering the public clinical trial database downloaded to your phone.
3. Data Retention
Because your data is stored locally, you retain full control over your information. Deleting the PinkHope app from your device permanently erases all your entered data. We cannot recover this data because we never held it. You can also reset your profile at any time within the app settings.
4. Third-Party Services
We maintain a strict minimal-dependency policy. We fetch public clinical trial data from ClinicalTrials.gov. Your search queries are not sent to these services — we download the database and search it locally. We adhere to Apple's standard App Store privacy guidelines.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
