Summary
AI Compass is designed to minimize data collection. Based on the current app implementation, the app stores learning progress locally on your device, loads educational content bundled inside the app, uses Apple's in-app purchase system for premium subscriptions and lifetime access, and does not require account registration or login.
Based on the current implementation, we do not operate a custom server for AI Compass and we do not intentionally collect personal information directly through the app.
Information Processed by the App
1. Local app data
AI Compass stores certain progress information locally on your device so the app can function properly. This may include onboarding completion status, diagnostic completion status and score, fluency score, completed lessons, quizzes, and scenario labs, bookmarks, streak and last active date, and premium access state as reflected in the app experience.
This information is stored locally using Apple's device storage mechanisms and is not, based on the current implementation, transmitted to us through a custom backend.
2. In-app purchases
AI Compass uses Apple's StoreKit framework for subscriptions and lifetime purchases. If you choose to make a purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Apple may provide transaction and entitlement information needed to determine whether premium access should be unlocked inside the app.
3. Support communications
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, name, and any details you choose to share.
We use that information only to respond to your inquiry, provide support, or address legal or safety issues related to the app.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect Through the Current App
- Account creation data
- Profile photos or contact lists
- Camera, microphone, or location data
- Third-party advertising SDK data
- Third-party analytics SDK data
- Cross-app or cross-site tracking data
- Developer-operated cloud copies of learning history
If the app later adds any of these features, this Privacy Policy should be updated before release of that new version.

Sharing of Information
Based on the current implementation, we do not sell your personal information and do not share personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers through the app.
However, Apple may process transaction-related information when you use in-app purchases, subject to Apple's own policies and terms.
Data Retention
Locally stored app progress remains on your device unless you delete the app, clear the device, or use in-app reset options if available.
If you email us, we may retain the correspondence for support, recordkeeping, safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance purposes for a reasonable period.

- Reset onboarding or progress within the app, if available
- Delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California law depending on the nature of the information at issue and our legal obligations.
Based on the current implementation, AI Compass is designed to collect little to no personal information directly through the app. If you contact us and wish to make a privacy request, email jtscientific2016@gmail.com with the subject line California Privacy Request.
Children's Privacy
AI Compass is an educational product, but it is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the current app implementation.
Security
We take reasonable steps to limit data handling and reduce unnecessary collection. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be identified by its new "Last updated" date.
