These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AI Compass, published by JT Scientific ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using AI Compass, you agree to these Terms.

1. Educational Product
AI Compass is an educational app. It is intended to help users learn about AI concepts, workflows, prompting, verification, and related topics.
AI Compass is not a law firm, medical provider, financial advisor, university, licensing body, or accredited certification authority.
2. No Professional Advice
Content in AI Compass is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, medical, financial, clinical, tax, compliance, employment, academic, or other professional advice.
You are solely responsible for how you use information from the app. If you need professional advice, you should consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.
3. User Responsibility
You agree that you will not rely on AI Compass as the sole basis for any high-stakes decision.
- Legal rights or obligations
- Medical or mental health matters
- Financial, tax, or investment matters
- Employment, hiring, or HR actions
- Regulatory or compliance obligations
- Academic misconduct or integrity-sensitive actions
You are responsible for verifying facts, sources, outputs, and decisions before acting on them.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
AI Compass may offer paid content through Apple's in-app purchase system, including subscription and lifetime purchase options.
All billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple under your Apple account settings and Apple's applicable terms.
5. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use AI Compass for your personal, lawful use on devices you own or control, subject to Apple's platform rules.
- You may not copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app except as allowed by law.
- You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law permits it.
- You may not use the app in a way that violates any law or the rights of others.
- You may not misrepresent in-app completion status as an accredited or official credential.
6. Certificates and Completion Status
Any certificate, badge, completion marker, or progress label in AI Compass reflects only in-app progress. It is not an academic transcript, continuing education credit, legal credential, job qualification, or professional certification.
7. Availability and Changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or purchase options at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law.
We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or OS version.
8. Intellectual Property
AI Compass, including its design, text, educational structure, branding, and app materials, is owned by JT Scientific or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Compass is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Content may not always be complete, current, or error-free.
- The app may not meet every user's educational needs.
- Examples may not be suitable for your specific real-world use case.
- Premium content does not satisfy accreditation or licensing requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JT Scientific and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or reputation arising out of or related to your use of AI Compass.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to AI Compass will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or related in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JT Scientific from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or the rights of others.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except to the extent superseded by applicable consumer protection law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
